We have found raising pigs to be one of the best options for a large amount of meat, in a short amount of time. We buy all our pigs at a weaned age from local producers, then raise them for 6 months on our farm to be butcher-ready. You won't find any commercial pink piggies here - we love heritage breed crosses! Our pigs are raised outdoors - rotating between their feeding pen, and pasture grass. Once you've experienced pork meat raised in this manner, it will be impossible to go back to conventionally raised 'grocery store' options. Those commercially raised pigs don't see daylight or dirt. They're raised in concrete buildings. Our pigs are raised on daylight & dirt like they were meant to be - creating a deep rich colour, and amazing flavour.
